If someone has 2 presentations from the St. Louis Conference that were moved to this meeting in Montreal. Would being a moderator/facilitator on a new joint session proposal mean they're exceeding the 2 session max?

It is OK to be a moderator / facilitator on a new joint session even if it exceeds the 2-session max.

Does ARLIS/NA have a set time limit per talk or number of speakers for lightning talks? For example, we are considering applying for an 80 minute session with 6x 10 minute talks and the remaining time for moderator intros, Q&A, and wrap up.

Generally, lightning talks (like other presentations) would run between 60-80 minutes. Your example of 6 people (each talking 10 minutes) + 20 minutes for intros and questions at the end would be great.

When submitting the session proposal, do we need to have all the speakers and their talk information already lined up ahead of the January 12th deadline? (We are a little bit nervous that this may not be enough time to get a full line up of several talks solidified, and if this is the requirement we might need to change to a different format.)

Your proposal should include the names of the 2-3 speakers with information about the content they will address. Having a moderator lined up would be appreciated, but not essential for Jan. 12. Alternatively, you may signal in your proposal that you are seeking a second or third speaker, and we will try to pair you with a match.Â
