Since 2009 the Canadian Centre for Architecture has produced a tote bag annually that can be purchased in their bookstore. Each year a new color combination has been selected. These tote bags have become something of a Montreal institution and are spotted all over the city. The library of the CCA maintains a complete collection of the tote bags along with all of the CCA’s publications and ephemera.
As a gift to ARLIS participants, the CCA is offering registrants a complimentary 2020 or 2021 tote bag, which include two lengths of straps and an interior pocket.
The 2021 bag is unique for the CCA in that it was made in partnership with Petites-Mains, a Montreal-based insertion enterprise which offers training in industrial sewing to disenfranchised women across Montreal. This enterprise provides women hands-on work experience while increasing their trade knowledge and encouraging social integration. You can carry your brightly colored green bag with the knowledge that it was carefully stitched and assembled in Montreal.
Since we cannot meet in person to hand you your tote bag, we kindly ask that you be responsible for the shipping costs. You can order the bags directly from the CCA bookstore using the code ARLIS.

Ces sacs sont devenus un emblème montréalais et sont repérés partout dans la ville. La bibliothèque du CCA conserve une collection complète de sacs, ainsi que toutes les publications et les documents éphémères du CCA.
En guise de cadeau aux participants du congrès d’ARLIS, le CCA offre gratuitement aux inscrits un sac édition 2020 ou 2021, qui comprend deux longueurs de sangles et une poche intérieure.
Le sac 2021 est particulier pour le CCA car il a été fabriqué en partenariat avec Petites-Mains, une entreprise d’insertion montréalaise qui offre une formation en couture industrielle à des femmes défavorisées de Montréal. Cette entreprise permet aux femmes d’acquérir une expérience de travail pratique tout en améliorant leurs connaissances professionnelles et en favorisant leur intégration sociale. Vous pouvez porter votre sac vert fluo en sachant qu’il a été soigneusement cousu et assemblé à Montréal.
