You are invited to the ARLIS/NA MOQ fall meeting on Friday, November 6th at the Bibliothèque centrale, Université du Québec à Montréal, Montreal.
Following the meeting we will walk to the Galerie UQAM where the artist Hank Bull will present his work in the exhibition Connexion. The exhibition transforms the personal archives of the artist, covering a period of over fifty years, in a sculptural installation. Neither a retrospective nor an archive exhibition, Hank Bull. Connexion rather seeks to make sense of the materials gathered by the artist throughout his career and highlights an artistic practice based on collaboration.
For lunch, a short walk will bring us to Menthe et Couscous for a family-style meal with vegetarian options.
At 2pm, the director of the Centre de design, Börkur Bergmann, will give us a sneek preview of the exhibit Une architecture du Québec moderne, 1958-1974. This exhibit will emphasize the architectural practice as a strategy and research process, with its leaps and successes, while presenting significant objects from the firm. A the end of this activity, other exhibits at the Galerie UQAM and in the Ecole de design will be available for you to visit independently to bring our day to a close.
